I also believe that the ML is the same. I think the one on earth has this worlds memories, but no way to prove that. Is it a spoiler or just a guess? Id call my theory a guess.

Haha, so I was right!
I know no spoilers or if there is a novel to spoil me but ~
I kinda think he IS the real Humin and "irl" life was just a coping thing his brain did so that when he came back he wouldn't be so traumatized and could have his happy ending.
My other WISH/HOPE is that the mc is both Humins and that he was the og mc went to his world came back will resolve the plot, go back to his world and his friend will be the ML with all the memories of their "book life"
