Growing up, both my parents are present, and they’re still alive up to this day. However, I never felt like I can tell them anything. We are not a close-knit family, and they seem to be detached to their children and my Mom would always be all grumpy and upset whenever we did a mistake or we cried over something stupid. Because of this, I have to hide whenever I am angry or sad and I want to cry because of something. I always cry at the shower and in my top bunk, quietly, so no one will hear me in fear of being scolded by my Mom.
I live alone now, and I felt more at peace with the distance, and I have found comfort with my best friends who would always be there to listen without judgment. Sometimes blood is not always thicker than water. This manhwa just makes me tear up every single time, reminds me of how I was before and still teaching me how to get through this “adulting” stage.
