True but they’re already in a weird stage where she likes him and thinks they could probably get together. He knows about her feelings too and anything could really lead her on and he doesn’t want that for her because he also cares about her as a friend too . I totally get how he feels and its weird bc u really are just being “nice” but that could end up leading someone else on and hurting them in the end too
Touching between men and women in Asia is not interpreted as casually as in the West. Not sure what is the "protocol" about falling but I have seen it over and over that a guy reaching out holding a girl to stop her fall is wildly interpreted as "there is something between them".
