Was ready to judge tf outta this one but…. The psychology behind their relationship makes sense, the real villains here are the parents, no matter how hard a divorce is the way they seperated them and didn’t keep in touch with the kid they didn’t take is weird. The boys had to do it themselves and as a kid who’s been there I get that so well, it’s hard to be the kid who try’s to keep in touch, to miss them and feel powerless to do anything about it. These boys needed therapy and their parents to be more present in their lives, they could have had a healthy brotherly relationship, this is NOT a romance story if anything I found it sad that their parents failed them so bad and that they missed out on a proper sibling relationship.
I mean it’s not clear if they were blood related or not? When the parents are discussing divorce the boys already know that they’ll be separated so maybe that can somewhat excuse the parents not keeping contact with the other kid? But they were still young and it’s such a big impact on their lives either way…
