If that was true, the authors would go to jail. I don’t think a lot of you know how plagiarism works. It’s like an actual crime that you could get sued lol

lol plagiarism isn’t a criminal offense in most countries including under Korean law. Except very rare big and mostly public cases that envolve fraud or forgery. This would be copyright infringement which would fall under civil lawsuit, the author can sue for damages, and the court would have to prove plagiarism, which in most cases is hard to prove. It would not result in jail time.. mostly you would just get fined. So no I don’t think authors would be in jail lol
Also as far as I know the author didn’t get sued or no proven plagiarism.. this was just a keyboard war and cyber bullying to the author as far as I could gather, and after reading autor’s statement.

Even then, plagiarism is still wrong lol.

I simply think it’s weird how people think it’s okay to freely say that they don’t care about someone getting plagiarized. I hope you get your work stolen if you’re saying things like that.

Respectfully, where in my comment do you see me saying plagiarism is right? Of course if intentional and damages the creator it is wrong. Doesn’t mean all that is wrong is a criminal offense is what I’m saying. I also don’t believe the initial comment is debating on if it is right or wrong, just that he/she believes a lot of these plots are recycled. Additionally what I tried to convey is the irony on how you mocked how people “don’t know how it works”. My personal opinion on it is that if actually not the case the accusatory defamation is also quite damaging to the author, and therefore wrong.

You can just scroll down a bit and you’ll see literally two comments saying they don’t care about the plagiarism and they want to see the characters get together or they want the story to continue.
