Anyhow

All in all, 8 out of 10. It's a decent read. It's reasonable and I cant find anything to hate on it.

This manhwa is as straightforward as it comes. No hidden meanings, no hidden powers(well...sort of, I guess). 80% of the manhwa is literally about the Empress trying her best to make the Emperor divorce her. But the Emperor doesn't want to. And the remaining 20% is about dealing with the Consort and the High Priest.

The FL is not bad. I've seen comments saying how she didn't actually leave him, despite what the title indicated. But like, how was she supposed to leave? Rumours was saying how a War will happen because of what Happened. Of course she'll be guilt ridden if a war happened because of her. Of course she has to stop it. Of course she has to go back.

She tried to make the Emperor eradicate her position as the Empress but she didn't know the Emperor would be smitten with her. The manhwa states that there's only 5 ways to dethrone an Empress which is working for a foreigner country, threatening the safety of the Empire, treason, assassination of an imperial family, or have the people of the Empire turned against her. For her safety, all she can do is create scandals to make the people hate her. But somehow all it does is improving her image as the Empress(lmao how sad lol). So she did try to make the people turn against her to the best of her abilities without harming anyone. It just didn't work out at the end haha.

I actually don't mind the Emperor. He's easy to understand. He marries the Empress and the Consort not for love, but for convenience. He's doing what he's supposed to do as an Emperor and I cant blame him for it.

And I also can't blame him for not loving the OG Empress because she was just not his type i guess(he never really 'love' before anyways). He wants someone useful. The OG Empress is useful just because of her Lineage. Other than that, she has little to no personality (she copies what the Consort wears), she has no backbone (She's an Empress that doesn't mind taking up the Consorts work), she's afraid of him (being anxious and overly attentive). She's a Validation Seeker when she's supposed the be the 2nd most powerful human in the Empire. In the Emperors eyes

Maybe the Emperor falls in love with the Consort of the OG Story because of how useful and manipulative she is. But the FL is now MORE useful than the Consort. She helped him out unknowingly but still, it's still useful. She's now doing what an Empress should be doing(Spending money, elevating the Loyalty name, putting people in place etc etc) . The sudden change is peaking his curiosity. She unknowingly got his attention now. And it slowly sparks in love. Even though her looks are the same, it's the personality that's different.

So again, I don't really blame him for liking the FL compared to the OG Empress.

The only thing I'd complain was the power of the Priest. You'd know he's powerful from the moment he was introduced, but honestly being a godly being seems unwarranted. The story could've just state that the Priest is a Dark Mage with intense hatred for the Empire and it'll be sufficient. But involving god, splitting from god, having the same abilities as god, seems a lil excessive. It would've been a nice addition to the story if the god was more relevant to the story. But they're not. God was never mentioned until the last few chapters. So it's a moot point.
