im a highkey hater of “we met when we were little but forgot”

Most of the time it makes little to no difference to the plot. Like sure, if it’s an integral part of the story that’s introduced at beginning, i get it. But the random lore where the characters knew each other from when they were little, but both just so happen to be unable to recognize each others face / names, until some random flashback, should not happen this often. I swear, the moment i see mini versions of the main leads together i let out a major sigh. Like, here we go again. And it’s always the same shit where one character protected the other from bullies lol

    this. it seems so unnecessary for this story too.. people can just fuck and then fall in love, why do we have to justify it with akshually they were destined because of their childhood
