you can REALLY tell that the story is shifting and the "im sorry" made it way too obvious
personally, if they can truly start to heal, SEPARATELY, and THEN try to reconnect i think it could actually work. but there's no way that would happen lmao so we're getting into the unhealthy bonding territory and it's painfully obvious

Yes like she is gonna trauma bound with her oppressor, like girl he did this to you!! and yeah I really like the story, so I just pretended to not notice where the story is heading, but the "I'm sorry" scene just crushed me, and yeah I love them (or more like I love the mc and I think the ml is an intresting and well-developed character) and seriously I want them to be happy together, but I don't see how it would be achieved with the current character dynamic, it's just a strong no for me. But I would happily read about them getting together if handled properly, or maybe the au, but definitely not this mess.
Tbh I liked how their relationship was executed, there was reasoning and depth to the ml character, and the fl after all she has been through, because of this man, still remained strong and dedicated to becoming a better person as well as understanding world better. And even if in her journey she crossed paths with ml over and over again she remembers all of his mistreatment and wrong deeds and stays as far from him as possible. And for me, that sold me over, the good execution of heavy topics that, if handled differently, would be harmful and lead to the romanticization of abuse. So my question is HOW and WHY did we end up here. It's been a weird tendency in the latest chapters but the last chapter was most abhorrent. My girl WHY ARE YOU APOLOGIZING to him it's not like it was your deliberate choice to get hurt or you choose to meet his old comrade. And the recipient of your apology is even worse than your reasons for them. My head hurts just from reading that (*^▽^)/★*☆♪
