Lyle's inability to be transparent with his feelings even with Ash is BEYOND frustrating (it has me tearing my hair out and I'm literally bald) !but! everyone needs to remember that he's literally been abused for most of his life including his adult life! He only just started to get free of the oppressive environment he grew up in and was living in since officially getting together with Ash and not much time has passed. He also technically hasn't fully left that environment since he's still working the same job. I want him and Ash to do couple's therapy AND for Lyle to also do solo therapy ╥﹏╥
