Readers are into the toxic nonsense ( at least from what I saw / not all reader's)

no cuz people glorify rapists in bl like non sum zero or even pearl boy I HATE PEARL BOY the amount of rape in that manhwa is insane and people ignore that the ml is also a rapist just because he’s protective of his boyfriend makes me question if the readers are mentally okay
Gotta ask, how do you know straight romance is booming? The only time I see it in the top section is when the girl is almost completely naked.

bro I’ve seen seeing the same pattern emerge on the too! I think it’s probably due to the over saturation of the BL genre (bottom has debt, bottom gets sexually abused by top, top has enough resources to initiate Plan A: Stockholm Syndrome) and i think the generalisation is starting to turn people away. Most of the BL nowadays don’t have long-running chapters no more, and have a short format of 5-7 chapters, which leaves no time for readers to form an connection with the characters or enough content to create a solid readership. God knows the BL genre is now going through a pandemic cs litc just ended
Also i think another reason might be that there is no good contenders who write BL anymore. More of the popular BLs are just coming from the same authors with popular, pre-existing works. Anyways that’s just my two cents
They’re really not booming tho. The only straight romance I see up there is porn lol also straight romance is not any better than BL “try begging” is on the feature and it’s all rape like the ml put a gun up the fl vagina and shot her uterus and the whole entire storyline is about him raping her. Tears on the weathered flower is literally garbage and is basically a wattpad fanfic that is poorly written with a fl being over sexualized. On this website porn is just very popular and people are just brain rot. New gens manhwas in general are straight up ass cheeks, and rape is getting more and more normalized in fiction.
I hate Pearl Boy, too, and people calling him "the greenest flag ever" is just... whatever.
I read some that don't have that, but it is difficult, especially since the BL genre is being saturated with Korean Manhwas, and they copy-paste each other. It's almost like the Isekai trope. Everything is the same, and there is no originality. And I think that's a big part about why we don't notice the new non BL, it's because they are all the same.
The bad thing is that the things they copy-paste for BL are always rape, unbalanced relationships, and the typical "I love you because you say you love me, even if you treat me worse than the dirt on your fricking shoe." Plus, the more original good ones are not being rated, so people don't even know they exist.

In this illegal site, BLs basically have been dominating w/out room for other genre. Like way before, it's rare to see straight romance, even straight smut.
But recently, you'd see straight romance booming here in this site, which can be odd because its BL dominated personally.
Im not bashing straight romance, but im bashing BLs and how poor new gen of BLs are. I observed that it's cuz the writing's either ASS or just straight up smut with problematic shit mixed into it. It's a low blow attempt of getting readers honestly.
