I was also wondering if it might play into how his brother apparently knocks up women and if he has some sort of scheme to frame him in some way? Idk why else the author would put so much emphasis on it.
I don’t think that’s it.. he probably said that because he’s been lying about his identity and doesn’t know he beats people up etc. the miscarriage was brought to our attention to show the two decaying rl and how bad of a husband the pos showing us how dark and grey her life was.
I think he's trying to get her pregnant, hence the comment about her trusting him too much, I don't think they used any protection and I don't remember seeing anything saying she couldn't get pregnant again after her miscarriage, just that she didn't want to take the risk again and wasn't in the mood for sex which is understandable with all they went through.
Also I can see it coming that the company the shit is working for is the dad's, gonna be a funny sight if I'm right
