i get a weird vibe from the ml like he want the mc for some ulterior purpose and he doesn't have any feelings for him and he is going to betray the mc kinda plot

    Right? The mc interests him because he's the only one whose not affected by the ml's powers. Thats it. Its obvious, he doesnt like him. He just tries to win him over to know why he is not affected by his powers.
