I completely agree!! What was the point in building by up suspense and anticipation for the s scene for Sehyuk to end up doing exactly what he said he WASNT going to do? He just said he wasn’t gonna assault him (which is a wild statement) because he said there’d be no point “It’d be no different than masterbating.” And then he went and assaulted him anyways shit was disappointing
Exactly!!! I remember waiting for the side stories for soooo long cause I really liked how sehyuk had some self control and wasn’t a full on harasser in the original story and how hamin towards the end actually ended up liking sehyuk. There were times where hamin had to hold back himself from wanting more as well? But now all of a sudden hamin wants nothing to do with sehyuk and has no physical want for him.. he didn’t even like the date they were having together?? Like I’m sorry but didn’t we establish that you liked him in main story…? I didn’t even feel any love between the two in their first sex scene, they felt like two strangers fucking. I have no clue where their angst or love went from the main story but I did not see it !

Yeah, you guys perfectly completed my concept! I usually don't complain about this thing, of course I don't like it but I'm used that in yaoi there is often this trope of the assault and eventually it's just fiction, but the point in this case is just that it made absolutely no sense!
THANK YOU LITERALLY i was actually soo disappointed omg i had been looking foward to the side stories for so long and then when they finally released i saw the comments talking abt rape and just was so devastated ;-; it's so sad the moments leading up to it built up so much momentum and hype around their first time only for sehyuk to completely do a 180 and assault him when he never did even tho he had so many chances..

Exactly, like at this point I wish the side story didn't exist at all because it ruined everything... I'm glad there are so many of us who think so! If I think back to the main story and how it ended, this side story doesn't even feel like its sequel/aftermath, it feels more like an alternate reality or something due to the total lack of consistency...
I understand that we couldn't expect a romantic circumstance given the genre of the story and the characters, but certainly not a non-consensual relationship either... Very disappointing.
100%! I'm really glad I decided not to read the side stories after seeing the comments. I still feel disappointed despite having not read them so I can imagine how it felt for everyone who did. Like fr I understand it's completely unrealistic to expect a lovey dovey scene, but we legit all just expected something that would actually align with their characters... It could be "toxic" sure, and not romantic, but rape was sooo unnecessary and out of character.
Agreed!!! The ending felt rushed and incomplete I feel like there was a lot of potential for the story and its characters but it just wasn’t executed properly!! Then to make mediocre side chapters on top of it?? Why even make side stories when the main story itself seems so incomplete? Disappointing
absolutely omg. if only the side stories were replaced with more chapters actually fleshing out the story more… this manhwa could’ve been so much more and it frustrates me to no end
True, like the story and the characters were so good and well written, but when I got to the end of the main story I was like seriously, at least give me something about the development of their relationship! Like it didn't feel right to end everything like that. Then I read about the side story and I was sooo happy, I was counting on it a lot because I thought it was going to complete the picture, but all they gave us were 3 whole chapters of assault, a date and 2 chapters of HALF-consensual seggs...
I love this manhwa but I have to say that the author could've thought of something better for their first time in the side story... That dynamics of the assault was just totally inconsistent with what happened in the main story! First of all their feelings were mutual at this point, Hamin was looking forward to do it as well and he even confessed to Sehyuk. They would've done it anyway, so was there really no better scenario to create the opportunity?
Besides, if Sehyuk ever wanted to take Hamin by force he could do it anytime (like in ch. 15), but he never did, and it certainly didn't make sense doing it now...
