He agreed to it that’s why. He was in debt. He wanted the money. He chose to agree to the terms. Homosexuality isn’t a crime, and if he wants to report the asshole ml for soliciting, he’d get arrested with the same charge too, because he did indeed sleep with that dick, and his debt was paid after. So it’s either soliciting, in which both can be charged, and the money that’s been exchanged would be proof. Prostitution is obv illegal in Korea. So they both stand to lose that way.
Kim Dan woulda known he can’t rely on legal help except in extreme cases once he sold himself. He has no case unless he wants to report for battery, in which case upon investigation they’d still find out he sold his body to the prick and would still catch a charge while ML catches 2 (but he’s got money so he can prob pay his way out)

Oh, wow, thank you for your incredibly original and insightful advice. "Just stop reading"—I mean, that's never been said before, right? So helpful. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't be here complaining, fucking smartass. Maybe you should chill and stop acting like a mindless fan who thinks anything goes as long as it's in a fictional story. Just because it's a manhwa doesn't mean it has to be some dumb excuse for bad writing and toxic nonsense. If you’re okay with glorifying crap like this, fine, but don't act like everyone else has to just "chill" and accept it. Some of us actually care about decent storytelling.
By the way, I'll continue to read it, I don't have to agree with every little thing in this story to read it. That just so stupid to think. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I get where you're coming from, and I do agree that Kim Dan's situation isn’t as simple as just calling the cops. He did agree to those terms, even though it's clear he had his reasons, like the debt and the money. But what I'm disappointed in is how the whole thing is handled in the story. It feels like it's just glossed over without really acknowledging the real emotional and psychological toll that kind of situation would have. It's not about the homosexuality—that's not a crime, and that’s not what's being called into question here obviously. But the way the story frames it like Kim Dan has no other options but to accept this and just "move on" is frustrating. It's not about "soliciting" or making it seem like he brought it on himself, it's about the power imbalance, the manipulation, and how all that gets swept under the rug.
And I know the story is set up to make Jaekyung seem like he's the one "saving" Kim Dan, but when you think about it, Kim Dan’s stuck in a shitty situation with no real way out—and it doesn't even explore the depth of the mess he's in. So yeah, I agree with your point about the legal side of things, but it's just disappointing how the emotional and human side of the situation gets ignored. It's like the story just wants us to accept it as part of the plot without actually addressing the serious consequences for both characters.

I’m just tired of ppl like you. Like… bruh it was obvious that it’s gonna be a very toxic relationship. So yeah just stop reading. It’s that easy. It’s not like I like him treating Kim Dan this way either but I’m not like you complaining and comparing a fucking fictional story to the real world bruh. No one has to accept anything that’s not what I said. You just wrote a half paragraph of “mimimimimi” so it’s not that deep bro…

Oh, I'm the one complaining? You sound like you're just salty because someone's calling out the toxic mess you're defending. Yeah, it's so obvious this is a toxic relationship—NO SHIT. That's the problem, isn't it? The story frames it like it's normal, and people like you are out here pretending it's not a big deal. You wanna act like it's not worth discussing just because it's "fictional," but toxic relationships are toxic, whether they're in real life or some shitty manhwa. You can downplay it all you want, but that doesn't make it any less ridiculous. And if you don't like me pointing out flaws in the story, maybe you should just scroll past instead of getting mad. It's not that deep, but clearly, you feel some typa way, huh?

Yeah I fully agree with you. I was just stating that not going to the police in this case is actually rather realistic.
As for this being glorified, I don’t think so. We’ve seen Kim Dan’s pain and how it got as bad as him subconsciously trying to commit suicide from stress. We see how he’s been slowly getting more and more depressed, trapped, and his entire self esteem is torn down etc. he’s become a shell of himself and continues to deteriorate as this drags on.
I think we all collectively hate ML and none of us glorify him or think he’s a savior. He’s clearly a toxic abuser. I don’t see anywhere in the manhwa that suggests otherwise.
So I fully agree 100% with what you said but it still seems rather realistic to me, aside from Kim Dan being an absolute angel of a character until this chapter. I don’t personally know anyone who’d put up with that and still feel attached to someone who treats them like trash. But sometimes abuse *does* make you feel hopeless. Especially when a great some of money is involved, some ppl might feel like they “owe” their abuser. Unfortunately. So idk if it’s fully unrealistic either. It def pissed me off tho and I really wanted MC to stand up xD
Why the fuck doesn't Kim Dan just tell someone or call the police? Like, seriously, what is going on in these stories where the bottom just lets the top do whatever the hell they want, and the whole thing just moves forward like it's normal? It's not even about angst anymore—it’s just straight-up unrealistic. There are zero consequences for Jaekyung's behavior, and it's honestly infuriating. Why do so many BLs act like this shit's okay?
And don't even get me started on how Kim Dan just accepts everything. He has so many chances to speak up, to try and get out of this mess, but nope—he just keeps taking it like it's inevitable. It's exhausting. I get that it's supposed to add "tension" or "progress the plot," but that's just a fucking cop-out. You can build drama without making the character completely powerless and ignoring the fact that they're a fucking human being. Kim Dan deserves so much better than this shit. He should be doing something about it, but no, he just goes back to Jaekyung like nothing's wrong. It's pathetic.
And Jaekyung? Fuck him. He's manipulative, toxic, and the story keeps trying to make him out to be this tragic, misunderstood love interest. I can't stand it. I'd honestly be fine if Kim Dan ended up with literally anyone else that treated him better. But nope, life said 'fuck that' because Jaekyung is the only fucking love interest, we all know they'll end up together, and it makes me sick. Kim Dan deserves someone who won't treat him like shit, not this asshole. The whole plot revolves around Jaekyung and it's honestly so damn predictable. He doesn't deserve a happy ending, but that's exactly what's gonna happen, and I'm just done with it.
