He agreed to it that’s why. He was in debt. He wanted the money. He chose to agree to the terms. Homosexuality isn’t a crime, and if he wants to report the asshole ml for soliciting, he’d get arrested with the same charge too, because he did indeed sleep with that dick, and his debt was paid after. So it’s either soliciting, in which both can be charged, and the money that’s been exchanged would be proof. Prostitution is obv illegal in Korea. So they both stand to lose that way.
Kim Dan woulda known he can’t rely on legal help except in extreme cases once he sold himself. He has no case unless he wants to report for battery, in which case upon investigation they’d still find out he sold his body to the prick and would still catch a charge while ML catches 2 (but he’s got money so he can prob pay his way out)

As for this being glorified, I don’t think so. We’ve seen Kim Dan’s pain and how it got as bad as him subconsciously trying to commit suicide from stress. We see how he’s been slowly getting more and more depressed, trapped, and his entire self esteem is torn down etc. he’s become a shell of himself and continues to deteriorate as this drags on.
I think we all collectively hate ML and none of us glorify him or think he’s a savior. He’s clearly a toxic abuser. I don’t see anywhere in the manhwa that suggests otherwise.
So I fully agree 100% with what you said but it still seems rather realistic to me, aside from Kim Dan being an absolute angel of a character until this chapter. I don’t personally know anyone who’d put up with that and still feel attached to someone who treats them like trash. But sometimes abuse *does* make you feel hopeless. Especially when a great some of money is involved, some ppl might feel like they “owe” their abuser. Unfortunately. So idk if it’s fully unrealistic either. Like, seriously, what is going on in these stories where the bottom just lets the top do whatever the hell they want, and the whole thing just moves forward like it's normal? And Jaekyung? Fuck him. He's manipulative, toxic, and the story keeps trying to make him out to be this tragic, misunderstood love interest. I can't stand it. I'd honestly be fine if Kim Dan ended up with literally anyone else that treated him better. But nope, life said 'fuck that' because Jaekyung is the only fucking love interest, we all know they'll end up together, and it makes me sick. Kim Dan deserves someone who won't treat him like shit, not this asshole. The whole plot revolves around Jaekyung and it's honestly so damn predictable.
