Well, the MC parents were forced to have a child together, like some breeding horses. And while the father developed feelings for the child AFTER it was born and took the baby and ran away, she had no feelings for the father and the child, moved on and started a new life with a man of her choice and having a love child which she wants to protect at any cost.

It's not Enoch but the Emperor, he forced them both to have the child and while this situation was over for Enoch after one (or a couple of) night(s), she had to endure this absolutely unwanted pregnancy for 9 months. There grew something foreign in her body, like some parasite or tumor, and she was forbidden to do something against it, because the emperor ordered it. So why should she develop motherly attachment to the child that was the result of this absolute traumatizing situation?

No one cares she started a new family, the problem is her selling her first-born like a slave. Would I blame a woman for not being able to love a child she had out of obligation?
