So far in a yandare mindset the possible reason he(Maximo) killed Renato's "parents" in the prev life, is probably 'cuz he found out about the extraction from his blood huh

But then why he stabbed Renato himself at the end of his prev life? If he is so possessive, the killing intent doesn’t align, unless I forgot smth

Hmm, but in the past life he didn’t have any competitors, prince wasn’t courting Khalid. There is a bit plot hole in here because everyone thought he killed the prince because he was jealous (cruel too ofc), he wasn’t a direct descendant of the fairy. I couldn’t put his “love” anywhere with logic

The "if I can't have you, no one can" still applies here even without competitors "you cannot have yourself because you're mine" type of thing, especially when the target attempts to run away from an obsessive and possessive person when there are no more outlet for that violence to release it from other than the target (which usually leads to either a stab or a slash in the ankle from the many mangas I've read which did happen) so obviously its no love no more its cornering. The thing with fairy blood and all just seemed like a final insult/a provocation for him when I read it last time, but well these are just guesses haha

yes! because didn’t Renato try to run away in the beginning? also, we see a small flashback of Renato’s past when Maximo found out Khalid proposed to the little prince. so maximo did have a competitor. but you know, he’s just batshit crazy so maybe we don’t have to make sense of why he decided to stab renato…
