Rough gems like this are why I don't trust ratings often on here ╮(￣▽￣)╭By no means is this perfect or not filled with cliché, but so far it's actually been engaging (⌒▽⌒)The FL has been brutally abused and is slowly coming into her own. In a realistic and endearing way The ML is ruthless and cunning, but in general cares for the weak & vulnerable.Truly the angst & threat underlying everything keeps everything from ever being too cosy or 'easy'.Both of the mains are essentially trying to survive.So far a good read and break from toxicity (￣∇￣")
