Pretty sure he was just going to call them “undead” because that is kinda what they are- dead but not really. It’s similar to zombie and maggots are only what they are called in this town, so undead I’m sure is another common way to refer to them.
What if the sleep over is to observe MC? Cuz MC kinda sus. He call the zombie or maggot as something else. He almost call it unde-something. And ML might be friendly to others before but i think he also become cruel if they become useless or they betray.
