Nah, I think he's just very different from her. She's straightforward and law abiding whereas he's manipulative and essentially a criminal. Not to mention that they hint to him being a player. So it think he's both attracted to her naivety, and feels like he's kind of tainting her, y'know?
Like he sees her trust in him, specifically him himself, as stupid because he "knows" that he's a bad guy, but also feels obligated to not break her trust. He knows he could really mess her up, but doesn't want to.
Tl;dr: I don't think he meets genuinely good people that often and now he's getting intrusive thoughts.

I guess because of the translation issue when the other guy said Taeha and that one blonde girl who liked him slept together, but even then it was pretty clear he showed no interest in her. He doesn't strike me as a player, just a creepy dude with a borderline obsessive crush lmao— the story is still too vague when it comes to the ML so all we can do is see (if that day ever even comes)
Yeah, I kind of box him into player due to the way he treats the other girl. If I remember correctly, he shows disregard towards her obvious expectation for something beyond a fb relationship. I find it a bit iffy that he hasn't cut her off from the get go to avoid getting her hopes up.
Although I think I remember that he does care for her in a friendly sense, he still seems like he puts his own desire over her emotional wellbeing. So yeah, player.
Don't get me wrong, though. He's a bit crooked, but I think that adds to his appeal in this fictional sense. I don't think he will hurt mc. Seems like he just wants to be spoiled by her. Adorable in a wild cat type of way.
