Going by the hint "has a habit of jumping to conclusions" I have a hunch her Maid weighed her choices and went for the thing with actual merit instead of trying to calm down someone who doesn't WANT to calm down.

I love the story so far!! It seems very good! My only problem is the maid... like she can definitely tell that her master is freaking out and what does she choose to do? Go to the crown prince instead of i don't know calming her master down??
