This is a realistic concern. And knowing how people over sexualize gay people in a similar to Fujoshi. And again nothing wrong with enjoying romance content as long as it doesn't go to weird extreme. I've meet Fujoshi's and I tend to not use the term but their honestly straight up weird. She started "shipping" two of my male gay friends (I'm bisexual so most of my friends are homosexual and etc) and she made a drawing of them fucking. Mind you this happened when I was in freshman year in highschool. She did it on school ground and shared it with her friends and everything. It was horrible.
It's not a yaoi specific issue, but I get the sentiment. This manga represents like 30% of yaoi but it's also like, 70% of josei which I also can't read for the same reason. But also ewww to the fujo, I'm sure she made a great people deterrent in high school.
