I recognize that she is poorly written and that’s the author’s fault. But in terms of the character’s essence — I like her conviction. I love that her values are being challenged, cause for so many of us these core values serve as a map for us to navigate life. She’s learning how to be flexible in her beliefs and striving to live a life that rings true to her. Plus I like this new plot line that is bringing up the harmful dynamic between the oppressed and the oppressor. Her character is right that the cycle of hate must stop somewhere cause an eye for an eye will make the whole world blind.
In terms of the romance, I do not care and I find them weird. I honestly forgot about the romance in this like my brain is erasing all of it in real time lol. I’m here for the politics and her character development. Also all that shit the crown prince said about further oppressing the northerners made me sick to my stomach…like I don’t have it in me to be his friend after all that
