My biggest problem he done everything without evidence...the past misbehavior is not an evidence....like he didn't sent out search partys, he didn't have their dead bodies etc, he didn't know that they was attacked or encountered a sandstorm, or who knows what.
He put an Empress from foregein country in prison and literally torture her without any evidence when this whole ordeal could've cause a national conflict.
He know from the beginning that she is ill, because the nanny tell him, but she still sent her in a cold prison without Food and water and she was there in this way for 1 week. In those times a delicate noble lady would die without food and water in 2-3 days, plus she was ill if its not for the nanny and the servant she would die very soon, maybe in one day.
I trully love see his face what would he di if Anton return but the Empress is already dead.

I think you can understand him from the perspective of an Emperor and accept what he did was reasonable but as a spouse, he failed. Like I can acknowledge that she is sus and hes been put in a tough position but this is an either or situation. You either put duty as an Emperor first or you put your love first but you can't have both or rather you shouldn't be able to have both. I dont even know if I'd made a different choice.. well maybe I'd house arrest her in her room.. but I would never expect any sort of forgiveness from her nor would I have the face to try to continue any form of romance. The only bitter part of this situation is that we know ML will be able to have his cake and eat it too.
I would confine her in her own room, assing guards everywhere, but let a doctor check on her, and let 1 or 2 maid send her simple meals. - this would be the normal reaction if somebody sus.
When I read his extreme reaction, I thought he is in Love with Anton -. -
To be fair, Anton is his most loyal knight, hes been like his right hand for years and he just "met" FL very recently. It'd be pretty mean to throw years of friendship and loyalty away over FL who has a sus background.
I get it but I still find his reaction extreme, like he doesn't even know if he is alive,injured or what happened.
Idk everyone hates him for locking her up but it’s not like his thought process doesn’t make sense. The FL made a complete 180 in personality and actions for seemingly no reason, and right when he finally falls in love with her and lets his gaurd down she sends his most trusted gaurds to an Oasis that she can’t prove is real but supposedly heard about from a secret conversation between her dad and someone who lives in the desert?
It was already sus that she changed, it was even more sus that there was a supposed Oasis in the desert that she just happened to know about but he still sent Anton regardless because he loves her (plus it didn’t help that she hired those guys and didn’t tell anyone about it bc when everything got put together it just looked even more sus). I don’t think him locking her in a cold cell proves that he doesn’t actually love her but I do think it’s fucked up that he didn’t at least have a doctor sent to check on her when he found out she was extremely ill.
