It is weird. Because Sisyphus was definitely a human, and said to be the smartest of them, later described as the most cunning. I really think he’s just playing pretend OR rolled his bolder for so long while being in the Underworld (maybe centuries, millennia) that, well, he wouldn’t know about the current world.
Plus, if he came back from the Underworld after triumphing over a divine punishment, then yeah, I don’t think he can be considered human anymore.
Sisyphus was king of Corinth, and married, maybe why he has all these rings.
I don’t know if the people living in this town know who he really is, but I would be scared of a guy who tricked Death, and Zeus, and Hades.
How long have they been there ? They said it used to be a town of wealthy people, and that some of them still live there.

You know what I honestly didn't even pay attention to the title or the history behind it. I need to do some research cause this is my first time hearing any of this I don't much about the underworld and other Gods. He definitely isn't human anymore or atleast 100% human. Him not knowing what a wedding ring means or is kinda solidified my previous theories. Not to mention everyone is so scared of him I believe they know he isn't human neither but he has saved them so they don't say it aloud or acknowledge it. I'm also not sure if it's a good thing with the MC showing him affection. Since ML doesn't understand basic emotions and things. This can go down hill fast he could wind up being obsessive & possesive over the MC. We see it by him demanding the MC to pay attention to him. It can easily go from green flag to red to black.
