I just don't get the pleasure of winning over difficult-- almost asshole--character which MC did in this manhwa. ML might be opened up for MC, but at what cost? Being treated up and down like roller coaster isn't that worth it.

The straw that broke the camels back was when the MC wanted to go on a date on New Years but ML had something going on that day. ML won’t tell him why and MC had already booked the day off (before asking him????) so MC calls him on the 31st like WHY AREN’T WE GOING ON A DATE TODAY??? I was reading all of this like - why did you book time off before asking? Why aren’t you taking no for an answer rn? Why not just try to set up a date later? If the 31st was that important maybe bring it up a few weeks in advance? Why did you even assume you’d be able to go on a date when you saw the calendar was circled before you even started dating? The MC knows ML has baggage and has zero grace about this. For all we know his parents died on the 31st - maybe you should just leave it until he’s ready to tell you??? If this is a deal breaker then leave him for gods sake I beg of you.
Granted the ML is not blameless here, why not just say you can’t but you’d rather not talk about it? Why not say whatever the event is it has been pre-marked since before the relationship? Why didn’t he offer a different day? I genuinely stopped reading halfway through the phone call it was so infuriating.
