I dint think they like each are other. The top is obssessed with the bottom. The bottom is mentally dependent on the top, he is lost without his abuser/captor telling him what to do. They may look normal now, but actually still toxic. Those are my take on their relationship. And their dynamic is more clear in the novel.
the artist skipped a lot of romantic scenes from the novel and didn’t have nearly as many internal monologues as they should’ve to show how yugyeon is in love with shinje. he’s been in love since before shinje was away for those three weeks (so in those extended rape/sex scenes between yugyeon and everyone else? he was in love with shinje there.). it’s just that the artist did a terrible job at actually drawing and story boarding the main couple in the comic. it’s a huge let down. you should read the novel instead.
