
yes, i’m aware it’s fiction but op’s comment implies that people (in real life) that haven’t gotten the Chae-heon treatment are pitiful. Also, them being fictional doesn’t negate the fact that Chae-heon IS toxic. Jeong-yoon “handling it” is just him learning how to avoid making Chae-heon act out. We can agree to disagree though, i’m done with this conversation.

I think "old people" have a good understanding that people are complex and don't need to be reduced to a simple flag color.
Ultimately we have different standards for what a normalized "safe" and "non-toxic" person is. Mine is someone who is not trying to control when or who I can hang out with, not calling incessantly when I don't answer right away, not taking unauthorized photos, for a start. And yours is someone who doesn't cheat or physically abuse, for a start.
Let's just wait and see how the story progresses and call it a day.
