Idk I kinda wish they weren’t actual animals and they were just beastman instead cause tht means only the dude can see them as half human/half beast which just makes him look fried and secondly I feel like since they’re animals in real life it makes the humans kinda more sinister? Does anyone get wht I mean? Like they see a white lion n instead of seeing a half human it’s just a rare animal tht can be sold, bought, used for a rug, head on the wall….And don’t get me started on just separating him from his mate.
