Right?? It's not just me who noticed, everyone knows Leila is attracted to that bastard.. we know what the author is trying to showcase here, and she eventually forgave him in the end anyways
I have the same perspective as you. Leyla and Mathias have been attracted to each other for a long time. However, she preferred to repress and deny this feeling and he decided to accept that he wanted her, but used the worst approach to deal with it.
They are two cowards in my opinion.
Kyle was never meant to win, he never stood a chance. Hes so second male lead material in the worse way possible, hes sunshine, soft, wholesome and everything that the FL deserves to have except for the fact that he is powerless against the ML. Not cunning enough AND Leila doesn’t have a romantic connection to kyle whatsoever. It’s sad to see his affection not reciprocated and that is a main factor in why I’m glad he never won.
Idk whether if Leila will fall for him one day if the duke did not exist and everything went smoothly but I think it’s for the best he finds someone who loves him back romantically at least. Leila has mix feelings for the ML but it’s obvious she’s physically attracted to him even with all the resentment deep down (currently). Idk what happens more later but yea all I know is kyle was never winning sadly LOL
