To me it's just him being a total jerk, he refuses to value her as important so he just decided that there was no need to bother himself with giving her a closure. Whether he did that coz he really didn't give two shits about her or to convince himself that he doesn't when he actually does idk.

ML(real name Yuri) is some important russian dude’s grandson and FL(real name Sonya) is the daughter of a mad scientist and NIS agent.
He married her to protect her from ever coming to russia. This mission was offered by his boss, who (shocking) is also the fl’s biological mother.
He was going to defeat all the forces that tried to approach her and protect her from her real father (her father is a crazy scientist). His first mission was to avoid fl from ever meeting her real father and not being taken away to russia.

Tbh it could also be that he didn’t want her to be heart broken over ‘his’ death? Now hear me out, it would still hurt her that he just vanished but i think deep down it was for her to never forget about him since he’s also attached, he didn’t want her to have closure since he couldn’t get closure either ( he’s definitely in love) (●'◡'●)ﾉ

Is there a reason why he left her instead of faking his death so that she would actually mourn him and think he's no longer alive and therefore not look for him..I understand that he thought since she's a civilian that he didn't expect her to do all that she did to find him but mannn is kinda silly all bro had to do was die..
