Meanwhile the main ship gives up on going for something more, Xixi is... I don't know chose to stay as they are while Jian Yi cares a bit too much of their friendship that he gives up going for more, after he confessed, that was it ... I guess since this comic doesn't consistently come out with long chapters, a fast paced romantic relationship is more efficient and desirable for a comic of that nature, so I agree that's probably why we see mo and he tian.
