The science experiment that was made forced Tristan's vampire father to rely in Tristan's uncle's blood. Otherwise the thirst is never quenched and cause a vampire to go on a desperate rampage I think. (I maybe wrong about the last sentence, it's been a while)
Tristan's uncle also forces that science experiment on Tristan and Ethan.
I'm assuming consuming enough blood would heal a mortal vampire wound. And since the would is so bad, he had to give Ethan all his blood.
The story insinuates that after Tristan gives all his blood to Ethan, Ethan turns Tristan to a vampire, because he was on the edge of life.
A bonus: Some vampire lore or fiction says that to turn a human to a vampire, you have to drain the human of a lot of blood before trying and it's not always successful. This may play into that as well.
What I don't understand is will Ethan always be thirsty now that Tristan is a vampire? Or do vampire's feed on each other?
A big YES to the vampire Tristan side stories
