I don’t think that’s accurate? I saw the raw final chapter and the previous spoilers of the ending and they both match. Not that they ended up together. It’s more of an open ending. They do meet again but nothing else is shown and he literally calls her “friend” lmao. Saying something along the lines of “if I met you again, I’ll help you.”

There was no sign or any other scene indicating they are together. That’s up to the reader to imagine.
