It makes it more interesting to me because it's not that simple. A simple reincarnation will just bring the same persona over a different time, in this case it's his will that goes over to the next generation and it sort of implies that it is up to the new generation weather they accept it or not which is the all point of freedom, you get the possibility to choose rather than following a determined path. The all mahnwa is structured as such in his bigger plot. Will humanity choose its own path or fall for the new cycle of destruction predetermined by the gods? Free will vs determinism.
