because most people came to read for the action, i know i disliked her a lot in the beginning because it seemed like she was just shoved in as an excuse to squeeze in romance to the story. i feel like the start of the story should've been more shirone focused on studying and starting his school life while facing the pressures of not having learned magic before. having amy there being all flustered on her own was really off putting and not what i wanted to see
I hope you are not forgetting the fact that they are in their teenage years, and puppy love happens.
Beside, falling in love can be a great motivation for these younglings to better themselves.

mostly cus they’re just brushing past her previous actions? she literally hurt shirone ans tried to SELL HIM OFF idk why no one is taking this seriously… and it’s not like she even treated him better when they first reunited again. sure she’s better now but it’s not hard to be when you were previously a VERY bad character.
it pisses me off even more that she’s tsundere too bc all her bad actions is just brushed off as her being aggressive and cute. like dude that’s no excuse to be a complete jerk? if she had just apologised from the get go and then continued to be tsundere i wouldn’t have minded at all bc they could’ve played it off as she was super sorry about it and embarrassed to the point she couldn’t face him properly without acting like that… but no — give us another bland tsundere character w no redeeming qualities
Oh, they definitely need to address that one in a more serious manner because that traumatized our baby a lot.
I think her later aggressiveness is really rather tame if you compare to other titles' characters, where they are being abusive but brushed off as being tsundere.
I'm saying this as a person who really dislike tsundere characters, I think she is ok and she had grown a lot.
sure idm the tsundere aspect cus you’re right, it’s been WAY WORSE w others but it’s still lame how all her previous actions (like humiliating shirone when they reunited etc) are just brushed off as her being a cutesy aggressive tsundere
again, if they just didn’t add that in and made her apologise from the get go I WOULDNT MIND LIKE ITS CHILL but yeah it really doesnt feel like she’s changed much since the beginning aside from feeling slightly sorry for what she did to shirone lol
puppy love does happen but it's not like people wanted it to happen! and it didn't really add anything to the story, the only motivation shirone got from it was not wanting to be disappointing kind of? but that didn't last long either because he moved to his next point a few chapters later
But she doesn't hinder his progress as well... so?
it's not that people don't like her because she's a sabotage or a bad person (but i'm sure one could argue that she is a bad person), we just don't like romance
Why do people hate her? She has grown a lot from the previous annoying ojou-sama phase, and she is a tsundere done right.
