I didn't finish the novel but I did get far enough to see that when the ML figured out the truth he was regretful but the author didn't make ML suffer long nor did he really do much before the MC start leaning towards forgiveness in my opinion. I thought the MC was going to be strong but he folded like some old lawn chairs. The typical I know you did me wrong but I still love you plotline. I don't know the exact ending but it was mentioned somewhere in the comments that they got together and had a happy ending. But in the novel the MC suffered a lot I'm not sure if we will see it all here but he put the MC through it. The MC even tried to Commit Suicide. My opinion I didn't feel like the ML deserve the 2nd chance. He was also battling with the I love him but I hate him deal too because of the false information he had. So it'll start off with him being sweet and somewhat remorseful then he would think about the so call "betrayal" then switch and become the demon spawn. It got so bad the MC use to bleed during intercourse and talk about how he couldn't even feel his body half anymore. Which in turn made the ML shove more drugs down his throat. Because he hates that the MC was refusing him, & he also knew what he was doing to the MC was wrong so he felt guilty and a side effect of the drugs is memory loss. So it would be times the MC wouldn't remember the cruel rape but he would feel it sometimes. Which sadly lead the to the MC addiction to drugs. Then once he realized that the MC love for him was fading he went crazy. It was wild & depressing. But yea I seen a spoiler awhile ago saying they got a happy ending so there's that.

it gets way worse he will continuously beat,drug, & rape the MC. & MC will get addicted to the drugs as well. It's more that'll happen but I don't want to spoil it to much. So get your tissues ready it's going to go downhill fast. I was depressed ASF while reading the novel that I had to put it down.
