Ok so I agree, for example one of my fav anime Ore Monogatari is an absolute banger and they get together within the first few episodes. The issue i have is that authors really struggle to make anything good after they get together. idk if ill get any hate for this cuz i refuse to believe theres any fans for this pile of doodoo: "A Condition Called Love" was absolutely garbage. The mcs get together within the first few eps but they have literally no chemistry whatsoever. I really thought this was gonna somehow veer into horror/psychological because the main lead looks like he's gonna snap and kill someone at any moment. he literally has a pin board of cut out photos of his parents in his apartment for crying out loud. im glad at least the story decides to not romanticize it but it feels like they just brushed past it somehow? ik i rambled a bit but i needed to get this off my chest. i cant be the ONLY one who hates that fuckass show.

Ill be honest the low quality art make me drop it after 3 episodes lol however I was already done after he spent all night IN THE SNOW searching for her hairpin. Apparently the character development in the manga is great (and ofc the art too) but I mean, if you start so low ofc you can make a huge developer lol

the only way i powered thru it all the way was cuz i hated watched it with my friends lol. honestly that dude was just doing too much fr like she didn't even give af about the hairpin that much. yeah ive heard the manga is better cuz u can actually see the ml's thoughts but i AM NOT sitting thru that shit after that disaster of an anime. god bless whatever animators & va's had to work on that godforsaken show, i hope they at least got some money for working on that pile of garbage.

I like slow burn, but the 2nd is always so interesting to me because now you get see them solve problems together, experience first times with one another. Trust and believe, some of y'all slow burn couples look ready to break up after the confirming kiss because they already spent way too much time pining and rethinking 'should I be with this person?'
So with romance anime there's usually two paths
1. Slow burn consisting of +25 episodes of misunderstanding, ending with a kiss at the end of season (if you're lucky)
2. Get together between 1-2 episodes and the rest of the anime is abt them navigating life as a couple
Now why the fuck do this mfs hate on the 2nd one, I'm tired of people saying shit like "it was so boring they got together SO fast" or "why are they ALREADY dating?"
AHRGGG NOT EVERY ROMANCE HAS TO BE A SLOW BURN(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
It's not even a problem w the manga community so why do I always see every other anime watcher having the same ass take
