Glad to know theres a novel.. reading it I felt that while it is very interesting the art style didn't quite match it... too manga-ish and catoon-ish for the seriousness of it? Like an horror book adapted using chibies... it takes away from the thrill of it... tbh the art is eerily like those kr "adult comics"... it pends more to that side than the kr action comics side and it's trowing me off... so I'd rather go read the novel...

That would be wonderful... tbh I went through the same with mistaken as a monstruos actor... the plot is very cool but the art just... doesn't live up to it. I don't even mention the covers.. if they were just like most modern dungeon kr comics with the cook looking mc I'd be satisfied... girls saying mc is handsome and I'm like handsome frickin where??? My man here looking basic af and people going gaga over his looks?

Hello, can you spoil me the focus of the whole plot? Like is he just like Sherlock doing detective things? Or does he also kill people?
He doesn’t kill people (jury is still out on the kidnappers fam though), he does threaten/beat up people a bunch though, mostly when it comes to his family / love interest (<<but that’s like super at the end) or a criminal. He basically helps the police department solve murders when they are super desperate and have no idea. He’s so obsessed with being normal he doesn’t take credit for anything he solves. He just wants to be an office worker. The detective stuff is solved super quickly by him so it’s not the main focus but there are a good amount of cases he works on so it does take up quite a bit of the chapters in the novel haha.

It’s the CEO’s daughter!! Luckily, it’s not harem haha. They get together at the very end. Meanwhile, they become very good friends and he doesn’t manipulate her to his way as much as time goes on lol. It’s actually so sweet and I’ve rooted for them for so long while reading T-T the confession was so him. He tried to be normal but it wasn’t lol it was so cute. I’ll stop now.

So why was mc kidnapped in the first place? Did he really kill the kidnapper's family? If not, then why is it that of all people, why did he thought that the mc was the killer, given that he was still a little kid at that time
Most of kidnappers fam knew about him I’m pretty sure. So they also abused him too. Like I said before, it’s never fully confirmed in the novel (it may just have been the translation I read) but all the people around the kidnapper died around him one after the other and mc was the only constant in there. I low key kinda forgot why he was kidnapped just about something him being dumb and naive bc when mc kidnapped the kidnapper and he asked he was smth all like “I wouldn’t have done it if I knew you’d turn out like this”(referring to his intelligence) but I do know that the kidnapper was supposed to kill him. There was another girl that he kidnapped and Mc witnessed the kidnapper burying her and I’m pretty sure kidnapper kept him alive to abuse him more bc kidnapper thinks he killed his family.
Damn... I hope they found the girl's body, cus they haven't mention anything ab it yet :(

Its in the end when mc decides not to kill the kidnapper and turn him back into the police he tells the detective (the one he helps solve all the cases with) who he is, shows him his scars and tells him what happened to him and the the place of the girl and they go and confirm it and retrieve the body.

Everything he does is for his own normality. The only kinda on the edge of your seat part is once we find out the kidnapper escaped and his own family even tried to hide to to not trigger anything (but he overheard it but keeps quiet) and it’s takes a long fucking time for him to show back up, but Mc has precautions against it and it does no real harm to him. He eventually opens up to those close to him, aside from his family.
First, I read the whole novel. AMA and I’ll tell you spoilers for anything bc it’s so good.
It’s like kinda unclear if he did kill them or not. They all died of a heart attack one after the other I think and the kidnapper is convinced but he never directly admits it even when he kidnapped the kidnapper and they were alone and he was asking.
