i actually like reina! it's understandable to be iffy about her because she's not katarina and is a damsel in distress right now. however, i'm more fascinated by the idea of katarina's ideals "reincarnating" into reina, much like how mc did (or more like transmigrated?) into the current lakan descendant. the mc is also not showing actual romantic inclinations towards her and more as residual care because she looks like katarina and is also embodying her ideals perfectly. if romance does bud between them, i can only hope it's done so convincingly. but for now, i'll choose not to focus on that subplot (if it does happen) and/or let it cook.
