If I was ever accused by the mother of my closeted boyfriend that I somehow turned him, and corrupted him, I'd never forgive that man.
I'd never let myself be someone's convenient secret that they could so easily make the object of blame.
I understand the need to hide your sexuality, whatever the reason is, but allowing someone, specifically your lover, to take the fall for you, is unforgivable and selfish. Even if you must lie out of your ass trying to make people believe you, other people are not pawns to your deceit.
To add to that point, you can't just come back to that person once you're fully out, and assume that you're relieved of your mistake just because you're not closeted anymore.
The issue did not mainly center around your ability to be out, which could be a valid issue for others but, it pertains to your willingness to betray in the name of saving face.
