My thoughts :(. So much smut, I lost track of the plot, I reread a chapter and I remembered how deep it was.
it’s dookie and wasting such a good concept. i don’t mind rape or sexual violence being in psychological stories, but its watering down any type of plot + vulnerability between them. all because ml’s sole motivator is horniness and suddenly only cares about tae as a living sex doll??
they have so much to talk about!! but all they keep doing is putting in sex scene after sex scene, which would’ve been okay had it been telling a story! however it exists as only torture porn
literally. why are side characters more interesting than the actual ml that’s insane!! ml got so watered down and pathetic it’s sad, when he had a whole lot of depth in season 1 but now he just looks like a sex-addicted loser
Yes. I was rereading parts of Season 1, and it was deep and sad. But right now, we're all getting a smut overdose. Someone needs to tell the author that a bit of plot would make the smut easier to digest—lmao.
As for the side characters, it feels a bit forced. I’m not going to buy into the side character sympathy arc—very few authors can make that magic happen. The flow keeps getting disrupted with random side stories about the brother’s love for the MC.
right?? and yea the side characters were definitely put in as a way to keep the story actually rolling. we’re now seeing the childhood friends inner thoughts because of how sex heavy s2 is when this could’ve been handled better in s1. he was completely out of that love story loop until now, so it’s really sudden. but i rationalized it because he’s thinking about the “what ifs”, regrets, and just reminiscing now that taes missing
meanwhile tae is suffering badly and we’re seeing a young part of him from the best friends pov, he was at least free and happy there ╥﹏╥
I don’t know if Taekyung was ever truly free or happy. His only genuine happiness seemed to be with Heeso’s mom. I’m not sure why the author put so much effort into the second ML. He wasn’t that sweet in s1—he was forceful, even forcing a kiss on MC, and didn’t exactly welcome him as family. A side character should grow on people naturally, like in Omega Complex or Insecret, not be forced onto the audience. Not every author has that talent.
SMH, Taekyung is such a pushover with both Heeso and the second ML. He’s too sweet for this world, always trying to please everyone, too naive, and never truly happy because he feared being abandoned. That’s why when Heeso wears the wig and says he’ll become whatever Taekyung wants, and MC hugs him, saying he likes him for who he is—it hits so hard. I just wish MC was smarter. Sigh... lmao. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ Someone tell the author to go back to her roots and make this manhwa great again. Lol. I hope, as you said, they both realize they got played, especially Taekyung. Heeso is smart, but he really needs to control his libido. This is too much.
he definitely had more happiness and freedom. this is not to say that’s the ONLY experiences he’s had… we saw the very unique hardships he lived through as an adoptee. and then chose the happiness of other people in the end instead of his passions. however there was a time he was at peace with archery and content with his family in general despite the pressuring circumstances. i agree side character storylines should be introduced slowly to feel natural, but given mc/ml current circumstances the focus does make sense. i just wish the kidnapping arc wasn’t so sex heavy because the potential to focus on the psychological and thrilling aspects are right there!!!
tae has unfortunately been a people pleaser/doormat all his life in the worst way teen ml found a loophole and had a grown man wrapped around his finger… that’s what i hate about his characterization is that he’s smart and so get, but gets into the worst situations because he trusts people too easily + people take advantage of it
i cannot believe we went from having a tragic, interesting story about two people caught up in an awful scheme, to the ml not even caring about the situation at all and only obsessing over poor mc
why is his sole drive to make tae submit and want to stay a sex slave? is ml so one dimensional that they’ll only make him care about sexual violence against the person he “loves”, and not even try to understand tae’s perspective + how tae was the only person genuinely on his side before realizing they both got played??
