i disagree with the first point... pxg and bm are equally matched in terms of strenght and isagi struggled a whole lot this match. Maybe if rin wasn't literally insane results would be different but alas. besides isagi is the protagonist why someone else should keep winning when he's supposed to be the main character?

Y’all call anything predictable . This match (pxg vs bm) is an obvious plot device to make isagi evolve; why would they give the final, most important goal (especially since it determines the winner team of the NEL) to a random character?? Perhaps one of the goals before could’ve been made by someone else like kuni, but it wouldn’t make sense for THIS goal to be scored by anyone else other than Isagi. I mean, all the stuff about teaming up with Kaiser would go to waste, and that would def make no sense. It was, in my opinion, way more interesting to focus on how the goal was going to be produced instead of dwelling on who has plot armour and setting myself up for disappointment. If y’all don’t want to enjoy a story, please don’t make it everyone’s problem by posting stuff like “yep, it’s confirmed, blue lock fell off!” Every time a goal is made by isagi… it was an iconic goal !!!

Blue Lock fell off ever since the BM vs Ubers. Kaneshiro consistently sets up things he never follows through, he forgets about his side characters, said side characters only develop if they immensely glaze Isagi. If they wanted PxG to lose against BM, or would’ve been better to make Isagi lose at least one of the matches. However, Kaneshiro couldn’t do that writing decision, you fucking know why? Because he didn’t have the creativity to do so. Isagi’s goal was iconic, yeah fucking sure I don’t care. But don’t act like Blue Lock’s care for the side characters haven’t significantly fallen off. PxG losing is SHIT because Isagi and his team hasn’t lost ONCE. Isagi stans (you and past commenter) will sob and scream at how you’re sooo evil and bad and mad because you pointed out the writing has significantly gone downhill and that the main problem with Blue Lock’s current writing is NOT Isagi but because Kaneshiro doesn’t know how to create a balanced match environment where everyone can shine with the main character still being the star of the show. The only reason why Isagi is developing the way he is is because Kaneshiro isn’t putting the same thought for side characters, but you guys aren’t ready for that talk because you’ll defend mid writing for the sake of your little fanon slur throwing MC..

Is everything okay? I’m not trying to instigate anything, so why are you being so emotional ???
People are defending kaneshiro’s writing because they like seeing the action on the field, they like seeing their main character (and others like rin and kaiser) develop through matches and they like how kaneshiro explains soccer (through theories, formulas, ego types…). How the fuck do you expect Kaneshiro to develop even more side characters among 21 other players on the field?? It’s not that fans aren’t ready for a talk, it’s that we understand that not all characters in the manga can shine because there’s a bazillion of them. If you want your side character development that bad that it’s making you throw a temper tantrum over a MANGA, go read Episode Nagi. Yall swear kaneshiro doesn’t write about side characters but also choose to ignore the spin-off he wrote for Nagi. You are never happy with what Kaneshiro writes and it shows that you’ve never picked up a pen and written a story, because you can’t get it through your heads that developing other side characters WITHIN the main story is genuinely difficult, particularly in a story like blue lock where there are 22 characters on a field and side character focus has to be very selective to avoid losing the plot. Developing ISAGI, RIN and KAISER simultaneously is already impressive… but YOU D1 complainers aren’t ready for THAT talk, lmao.
Anyways, had there been more focus on other side characters, the match would’ve finished 3 years later and you’d still be in these comment sections complaining about it. Y’all don’t give enough credit to Kaneshiro, because all you can focus on is criticizing. And in the end, it’s not us “little fanon slur throwing mc” fans that aren’t enjoying our manga, it’s you

All that yap and you didn’t even understand my point. It’s so ironic how pointing out bad writing will lead to you folks defending an author when it is simply true they don’t know how to write. Maiiruma has numerous side characters but all of them are fleshed out, have their character, and this aids in making the main character shine. Frieren is wonderfully written with many hidden details and the author turning cliches into something surprising. You guys just can’t handle criticism, be honest. The only reason why you’re out here replying to me is because you saw my comment as an attack to Isagi when it’s an attack to the writing itself, you guys would rather justify bad writing than give where credit is due and criticize what is missing. Quit acting like addressing Kunigami’s situation, developing Rin and Shidou (+ Charles) and their chemical reaction is hard. Kaneshiro has proven time and time again that he can write, it’s just that in later chapters the writing has become lazier where only Isagi and his team mostly developing.

Dude, you’re grasping at straws to prove a point that makes absolutely no sense. The rin/shidou/Charles chemical reaction had about 5 chapters, they scored a goal, and then shidou was locked down by kunigami. Quit acting like it was illogical, it MADE SENSE for them not to come up again with monster chemical reactions in the same match.
I don’t care about “attacks on Isagi”, what bothers me is people like you who have no notion of what plot is and act as if the writing is bad, which it ISN’T! Sorry to rain on your parade, but there is no problem with the way the pxg vs bm match ended. If you and everyone wanted the match to last another 5 years, then yeah, Kaneshiro could’ve developed on the side characters more. But again, you would’ve complained at that, ‘cuz the match would’ve became overwhelming and unbearably long, just to see another chemical reaction or two. And it’s absolutely NO use comparing bllk to mairuma/frieren; they are not the same genre of manga and the stories flow at completely different paces. Bllk is in constant action, so stuffing backstories, side character povs, etc, would’ve made it unreadable. But u aren’t ready to hear that! lololol
If you don’t like action-packed manga with more focus on the main character and his interactions with side characters that directly affect his development, then blue lock isn’t for you. Suck it up and move on, byee!! >_<

All that yap and you still couldn’t understand a single point. Common Isagi glazer response.. you would rather eat a mammoth’s shit than admit that the writing could’ve been better and that the early chapters are significantly much more well written than later chapters. If you can’t understand the single point that the PxG x BM match isn’t that good due to its buildup and you see a shared opinion as people throwing a tantrum, then be my guest, not once did I expect the connective hive of Isagi glazers to understand simple criticism. Each to their own but hey I’m just saying, objectively speaking some of us don’t like eating bitter gourds covered in shitstains.. but that don’t mean other people won’t like them, doesn’t make it wrong for me to say that that their favorite food is objectively shit.
LEAK SPOILERS
1) Anddd.. just like clockwork. BM winning because of Isagi’s plot armor prediction? Check
2) And to ALL those who called Ness stans delusional for “glazing” (UNDERSTANDING HIM) and saying he’d never pass to Isagi I’ll let you in on a little spoiler, Ness does a pass that Isagi receives and he uses to score a goal.
3) Its so ironic for Kaiser fans to glaze and adore Kaiser and hate on Ness when guess what? You ARE Ness’ twin. You know what’s so funny? It’s now canon that Ness did EASY passes to Kaiser and that when he finally did a harder pass to challenge Kaiser, Kaiser couldn’t receive it, but Isagi did. Kaiser really was holding Ness back, IJBOLLL. Your ugly ass rat tailed white man can SUCKKK it
4) Between Kaiser and Ness, Ness is far greater than Kaiser. Ness has a greater EQ, Ness managed to acknowledge that Kaiser was leaving him, while Kaiser didn’t even acknowledge once during this arc that Ness WASNT JUST a tool.
5) All this yap and I can still safely say.. Blue Lock fell off.
Edit : Isagi glazers mad yet again. Here’s a list of my issue with Blue Lock’s writing and latest chapters.
> Early chapters had Isagi falling down to his knees and then picking himself back up again with his teammates, enemies, rivals being there to further motivate him. The chapters were longer, side characters were given more personality and were explored and Kaneshiro managed to build the themes and ambitions of numerous side characters while still having Isagi shine and feel organic. The reason why I find the latest chapters to be so lackluster compared to the early ones are due to a variety of reasons. Side characters Kaneshiro consistently built up in past chapters are thrown away (Kunigami and Shidou), Rin’s character development taking a nosedive for the worse and many moments in later chaps are just wonderfully drawn panels that “look cool”. Moreover, while Isagi has constantly struggled, his struggles aren’t significant and in just the same or in 1-2 chapters after, he receives he answer. (This is an opinion.) BM has also consistently won every single one of their matches without fail, them winning against PxG was expected but the reason why many found it to be anti climactic was due to the build up. It would’ve been far more interesting if BM lost to another team or for Isagi HIMSELF to lose against Kaiser in the Ubers match in making the final goal. Isagi constantly winning is simply because Kaneshiro chooses to write it so, nothing more and nothing less.
> Despite PxG having both Rin and Shidou as well as Charles while BM has Kunigami and Isagi (and i guess Kaiser’s also there to sneak in.), Kaneshiro didn’t expand on Kunigami’s conflict with Shidou and didn’t bother to further expand on Rin, Shidou, and Charles. The reason why Kaneshiro chooses to not do this is because of the fast paced and yet incredibly short chapters. Longer chapters gave him freedom the to produce chapters of higher quality as he could adjust the story’s pace. The reason why many are upset with later Blue Lock chapters is because the quality pales in comparison to the older ones. Reread the first chapters, U20 chapters and the NEL arc, there is a massive drop in quality as well as panel length as time goes on.
TLDR : People’s issue with the writing of Blue Lock is the constant sidelining or abandoning plot lines or development that Kaneshiro built up in the past for the sake of Isagi “shining”. Its natural for a polished gem to look good when you put it beside pieces of rock and coal.
