Could have been something shady going on with the people in that place, maybe she really didn’t care about those people. Though I did have that thought also, she may have pretended to be chill and will come back later for revenge.

(but the kid in the slums who had her father killed looked a little too calm, no? It would be pretty realistic if she hates mc and would come back in the future to avange her father.)
