It’s got nothing to do with the maid. She needed an outrageous rumour so that our girl goes to see them. The rumour itself is irrelevant but using the duke helps since he’s essentially her annoying older brother at this point.
Man, i can't wait to see what happens . I mean, how is claiming SA of a maid a good idea?? It's disgusting but isn't misogyny, patriarchy and elitism a setting in this story? The burden of proof is on the mere commoner who's female, not on the male noble. Normally no one's gonna believe a woman who's not even a noble claiming SA by a male noble. And even if they prove it the criminal doesn't really get punished. Wonder how they're gonna prove the fake SA?
