Thats harsh but probably. Esp since most of the upgraded now are literally things that were the reason they died before. No subspace for stuff, no detection, no flight, etc. mc would probably succumb to depression more if he learns that
yep! something like "how many days can a human go without eating?" or "what kind of strategy would they come up without resources?". and since we are talking about ethereal or wtvr beings, being this indifferent might be their norm.
i think mc would either go full depressed or flip
sometimes i feel like the gaia system was just playing them 10 years ago, testing humans to perfect the system and the battles. it's like those who entered that gate were already destined to die.
