I think this is a very black and white perspective. He was out of his mind when he yelled at him. Also hurt people, hurt people. When you’re depressed, sometimes having people around you still feels extremely lonely and the fact that all the friends came back to help for this “suicide watch mission” doesn’t make the person who is depressed feel better. They would just feel like a burden and try to find ways to cope with the fact that they’re “broken” sometimes that means pushing people away. His emotions right now are not stabled. I think the main friend that is trying to help did the wrong thing by shoving it in his face that he’s helping, like he wanted some type of acknowledgement. If you are genuinely helping, sometimes is requires giving grace. Who knows, something you say out of anger may be his 13th reason.

thats giving this story way too much credit this guy has never acted in a way that makes sense NOR tried to blame any of the people that actually did him wrong but the one time it explodes its to the only one that isnt one of the tops. Because of course thats the only time a thought is allowed to occurr in this idiot's head

Very excellent job explaining depression. While it took awhile for me to learn and understand it, I'm surrounded by friends who suffer from it and everything Haemu does makes perfect sense to me because I've been exposed to it for so long and have a much better understanding then I did 10 years ago. Though, like with explaining depression to any average joe, they won't really understand as denoted by their response or may be willing to understand how difficult it can be. And, I don't blame them either though as, it really takes some looking into, and 'experience' to grasp for some people.

I actually think that’s you not giving the story enough credit. Like, what you’re saying about his behavior being irrational and not making sense is true, but like…the author is directly stating that the incident from back in high school fucked *everyone* up mentally, and nobody is more clear a sign of that than MC. Like, yeah, people going through depression and suicidal thoughts tend to experience behaviors that reinforce their negative self-ideation and push away/alienate people that are actively trying to help and worry after them. If you think it’s just a coincidence that MC is doing exactly that, then I don’t really know what to tell you at this point lol. Yeah, it’s fucked up, but that’s kind of the point, don’t you think?
he wants to apologize to the near rapist, he soothes the gaslighter, he babies the Psycho but he yells at and insults his only normal friend who was genuinely looking out for him and noticed he was suicidal. This MC is a piece of shit and im genuinely tired of him bruh. Seungchul deserves his own pov
