Grooming means that the adult deliberately wants to take advantage of the child sexually and how they do that is that they slowly make them comfortable with and not question doing sexual things with them and isolating them from others. Is this weird? Yes. But people throw around grooming so freely that nobody actually knows how to watch out for grooming.
