I just don't think it's dark, it's boring. I've literally read this 'all you want is sex from me, so have me then leave!' in like 5 stories in the last week, it's just boring to me personally. That's obviously not the authors fault, it's a trope of romance genres. I loved it in BJ Alex but here it feels weak somehow. I'm not mad at the concept but the execution is a bit weak. In my opinion.

Idk I feel like rape... is rape. Badly written or not. I never said it's the DARKEST of dark fiction, but it's at least a little gray lmao. The shit in this story is definitely not normal & wouldn't fly with a lot of ppl who aren't into the toxicity. I've never heard of or read what you mentioned but I'm not here to compare shit or argue about what's classified as "dark fiction" or not. I feel like there's a wide spectrum in the genre just like anything else, and anything that includes any sort of abuse, toxicity, etc in this type of way is considered under that category to me

i like dark fiction, this shit is just ass though. lol. i feel like it’s a stretch to even call it “dark,” it hardly seems to actually engage with the darker/more taboo themes and elements it’s presenting with any seriousness at all. it’s just throwing rape and abuse and all these other things in there to add drama without substance, without fully exploring their consequences (at least not so far—these recent chapters started making what feels like some attempt at that but as usual because the characters are written Like That you get mixed priorities and nonsense dialogue). all that said, even a train wreck can still have some parts intact and be interesting to look at.

Sigh okay ik y'all probably mean well but I said "darkER" on purpose lmao bc I don't read actual dark fiction. I knew there'd be some ppl who'd disagree with me calling it that so I didn't technically use that term. All I said was there's dark themes, and my point is not that it's darker fiction—my point is that ppl in the comments keep acting surprised when jaekyung does horrible shit or kim dan acts like a pansy as if that's not the entire premise of the story.
