It is seen as an honor to be able to please the Duke.But he does like them but I wouldn't say he's in love with them but he does respect them and have love for them like a friend with benefits.But I do believe he has a deeper connection with the emperor and could possibly be in love with the emperor. However, he tries to treat them all equally.
