Well I’m pretty sure that the baby had to be at least 2 when sigs sister died bc he first went to war at 14 came back a year later at 15 and his sister married the 1st captain he then took him under his wing then he pull the sword the following year so 16 and the baby was born then he came back to find her sick and she died within the year that would be 17 leaving him to kill the 1st captain and become a hero after the age of 18 brun seemed to be in middle school while this happened but the baby/ nephew seems to be in middle school now which confuses the time line for me bc middle school is age 10- 14 so I can’t gage exactly what age brun is but it’s also another 4 years for high school and I’m not sure if knight training is included but say brun was 12 in the 1st chapter then sig would be 18 or above but we’ll say 18 that’s 6 years but 2 + 6 =8 and the nephew is clearly older than 8 I’d say at least 11 so maybe 9 years but I also suck at math and I pieced this time line together with my last 2 brain cells, delusions and limited information

It is confusing, especially because Brun looks like a twinky, the ukes are kind of feminine and the semes are much taller and have serious faces, which can make them look "older".
